After killing Hiranyaksha, Adivaraha abided on this hill. Venkatachala Mahatyam is the extensively accepted legend over Tirumala Temple.
During Kali Yuga,
Narada advised some pundits who were performing yagna to decide who could be
given the fruits of yoga among Trimurtis (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva). Bhrigu was
transferred to test the Trio. The savant who had a redundant eye in the sole of
his bottom visited Brahma and Shiva and went unnoticed in both these locales.

bases. During this act, he squashed the redundant eye that was present in the
sole of Bhrigu's bottom. Still Lakshmi finds it as an personality since
Vishnu's casket was considered as Lakshmi's hearthstone (vakshasthala) and
Bhrigu demurred it which laterally disrespected Lakshmi. She also left Vaikuntha
and came to Earth to Kolhapur and started planning.

form as Srinivasa, left Vaikuntha, in hunt of Lakshmi, reached the Seshachalam
hills in Tirumala and started planning. Lakshmi came to know about the
condition of Srinivasa and supplicated to Shiva and Brahma. Shiva and Brahma
also converted themselves into Cow and Shin and Lakshmi had handed over the cow
and shin to Chola king ruling over Tirumala Hills at that time. The Cow would
give milk to Srinivasa daily while it was taken for grazing. One day, a
swineherd saw this and tried to beat the Cow with staff but Srinivasa had borne
the injury. Getting infuriated by this Srinivasa had cursed the Chola king to
come a Demon as dharma says sins comitted by retainers (shudras) should be
borne by Lords. The king supplicated for mercy after which Srinivasa said to
him, that the King should take coming birth as Akasharaja and should perform
marriage of his son Padmavati with Srinivasa.
Srinivasa went to his
foster- Mama Vakula Devi on Tirumala hills and stayed there for a while. After
curse Chola king took revitalization as Akasharaja and he'd a son named
Padmavati who was born in the Padmapushkarini positioned at present day
Tiruchanur in Andhra Pradesh. Srinivasa married Padmavati at present day
Narayanavanam in Andhra Pradesh and will return to Tirumala Hills. After many
months Goddess Lakshmi had come to know about the marriage of Srinivasa with
